Clumsiness

“Klutz!”

“Look where you’re going!”

“You’re so clumsy!”

Do you hear these kinds of statements often? Do you or others say them about your child? Do you or your child have a perpetual bruise on your hip or shoulder from knocking into door frames and walls? Clumsiness has a visual component and can be improved through vision therapy, neuro-lenses (glasses with prisms, low-plus lenses and / or color), and / or nutritional therapy. If you’re tired of apologizing for knocking into people or things in your environment, if your child is frustrated with his clumsiness, if you don’t feel like you or your child can move through space with confidence and ease, contact Dr. Stephey for a comprehensive neurodevelopmental / behavioral eye exam. Even if you’ve seen an optometrist recently or have had on-going optometric care for decades, your clumsiness might be a sign that you’re dealing with an undiagnosed, untreated, or undertreated vision condition.  To learn more about clumsiness and vision, visit our resources page.
